John Capriotti is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Domain Timber Advisors, LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser and a subsidiary of Domain Capital Group. In this role, John leads strategic business development and portfolio management for the firm’s natural capital investments.
Before joining Domain Timber Advisors, John spent more than 20 years in real estate, timber, and finance sectors, specializing in real estate transactions, underwriting and fund development and management. He has led acquisition efforts for three start-up timberland companies, successfully growing their collective asset value to more than $3 billion.
Most recently, John served as Senior Manager of Real Estate and Acquisitions at PotlatchDeltic (NASDAQ: PCH), where he was responsible for real estate sales and timberland acquisitions in the Southeastern U.S.
Before the merger with PotlatchDeltic, John was an executive team member at CatchMark Timber Trust (NYSE: CTT), where he was the Director of Acquisitions, responsible for all mergers and acquisitions for the company. He led CatchMark’s growth efforts internally, as well as in multiple public-private joint ventures.
John has served on several non-profit and for-profit boards over his career. Most recently, he served on the Board of Directors for the Forest Landowners Association.
John graduated from Boston University with a BSBA, majoring in accounting. John was a 3-year letterman on the football team.
