Peter Walker is the Director of Acquisitions for Timber Assets of Domain Timber Advisors, LLC, an SEC-registered investment adviser and a subsidiary of Domain Capital Group, that manages timberland, timberland-related, and environmental investments for public and private pension plans, corporations, foundations, endowments and high-net-worth individuals. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the analytics, strategic management and performance of the firm’s timberland investments.

Mr. Walker began his career in 2007 as a Research Analyst with Forisk Consulting, where he provided research and mapping support for the firm’s various biomass, bioenergy, and wood-using mill projects.  The following year he joined an Atlanta-based timberland investment management organization as Portfolio Manager and Forestry Analyst, where he was responsible for property analytics used in the acquisition, disposition, and management of timberland investments. Specific responsibilities included cash flow analysis, scenario analysis and performance forecasting.

Mr. Walker has extensive timberland acquisition experience having helped source, underwrite, and close over 120 timberland investments, representing more than $700M of institutional capital.  In addition to a wealth of land sales knowledge with involvement in over 500 dispositions, including providing analysis, strategy, and guidance to the wind down of a $300M, multi-state timberland portfolio.

Mr. Walker received his Bachelors and Masters’ degrees in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia, Warnell School Forestry and Natural Resources, with concentrations in Forestry and Forest Business, respectively. He is a registered forester in the State of Georgia and an active member of the Society of American Foresters and the Georgia Forestry Association.
