Job Description
Accounting Professionals at Domain are responsible for the day to day management of Company’s Investment accounting activities across Domain’s various asset classes. Domain has a wide foot print across multiple asset classes including real estate, private equity, debt, venture capital, entertainment related assets and other fund of fund structures. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the administration and management of routine accounting operations as well as ad hoc projects.
Role and Responsibilities
- Maintaining a ledger per the special purpose entity established according to the nature of investment.
- Perform month-end closing processes such as month-end entries, bank reconciliation, balance sheet analysis, intercompany reconciliation and other.
- Responsible for investor reporting in the areas of capital calls/distribution notices, monthly pricing reports, remaining investment commitment status and ad hoc requests.
- Process vendor payments and record invoices for the special purpose entities and Domain Capital Group.
- Assist with administration of the accounting software.
- Manage cash balances for special purpose entities.
- Assist during the financial audit and occasional regulatory exams by completing PBC items.
- Participate in the departmental projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in shared projects and partake in coaching team members on as needed basis.
- Demonstrate desire and ability to advance in position.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite
- Experience with other accounting software such as TNR and Intacct preferred
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years of accounting experience, with preferably 2 years of audit and/or fund accounting
- CPA designation required or on track to certification
